The members of the Inland Group of Companies (Inland Technologies, Integrated Deicing Services and Quantem Aviation Services) are highly experienced in aircraft de-icing, environmental management, aircraft fueling, ground handling and pretty much any other aviation support service you can think of. They operate at over 50 airports in three countries. We are partnering with Inland Technologies on an exciting 12–18-month contract as Inland looks to add a Corporate Accountant to their corporate finance team. 


Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Corporate Accountant will support the finance and accounting operations of the Inland Group, including month end close and the production of monthly financial reports. 


Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Analyze and prepare financial statements that comply with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
  • Complete month-end closing; prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide support to site managers and staff with regards to monthly financial results.
  • Collect and report daily and monthly activity (de-icing events, collection).
  • Assist with preparation for external and internal audits as required.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation.
  • Work cooperatively with all team members and external stakeholders involved in the completion of assigned duties.
  • Promote the best interest of the company by fostering goodwill and support between Inland and its customers, ensuring that Inland’s policy of superior service and satisfaction is met.
  • Other related duties as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:
 
  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, business administration or a combination of relevant post-secondary education and progressive experience. 
  • 2+ years of progressive work experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
  • Experience working will Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Ability to self-manage multiple, simultaneous projects at a time. 
  • Willing to learn new skills and adapt to change to support the growth of the company and meet the needs of customers.
