During an exciting time of growth, we are thrilled to be partnering with them to find a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting and Property Management Coordinator to join their team. This position is essential for supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of their portfolio and company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent data entry skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. You will be responsible for payables, receivables, collections, tenant communication, lease renewals, and ensuring the smooth functioning of property-related financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Financial Operations:
    • Manage accounts payable and receivables, including vendor setup, timely bill payments, and collections.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
    • Monitor and track expenses, invoices, and payments related to property management or other business areas of the company.
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Property Management Support:
    • Serve as the primary contact for tenants regarding billing, payments, and lease terms.
    • Assist with lease administration, including renewals, rent collection, and late payment tracking.
    • Coordinate maintenance requests and work orders with vendors.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for each property, including leases, insurance, and compliance documentation.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Manage tenant files (leasing agreements) and property records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Assist with forecasting for property management operations.
    • Support the property manager in daily administrative tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. A combination of experience and education will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in property management and/or real estate development accounting, with a solid understanding of financial principles.
  • Proficiency in property management accounting software (e.g., Rent Manager, Yardi, DoorLoop) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Tech savviness and experience with accounting software implementation is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with senior leadership, tenants, vendors, and team members.
  • Knowledge of real estate and property management regulations is a plus.
