Meridia has partnered with a prominent producer of high-quality paper products, offering both well-known national brands and private-label options.

 

The Production Manager position is a crucial role within the Site Leadership team at the company’s facility in Toronto, Ontario. You’ll focus on leading material processing operations to achieve departmental objectives in safety, product quality, productivity, cost management, customer service, and employee engagement.

 

The ideal candidate is an energetic individual with a can-do attitude, passionate about achieving results and driving improvement.  

 

This role requires a dynamic leader who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and priorities, and consistently work towards improving operational efficiencies and effectiveness.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the material processing team to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Contribute to site strategic goal development
  • Promote cross-plant teamwork
  • Establish and review team goals and development plans
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure effective cross-functional communication
  • Identify and address training and development needs

Qualifications:  

  • **Ideal candidates will carry Plant to Director level experience**
  • 7-10 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in converting
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or equivalent
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Passion for Continuous Improvement methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in budgeting and strategic planning

Salary: $130K to $150K + bonus
