On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Account Manager to join their SatCom team at their office location in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

 

As an integral member of the SatCom team, the Senior Account Manager will manage accounts and seek out new business in the Ocean Tech and IoT space and will work closely with Sales, Production/Operations, Business Intelligence, Technical Support, and Finance to ensure efficient and effective Sales activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• New Business Development & Account Management with a focus on Ocean Tech and IoT/Solution sales.
• Foster activity that generates Sales Pipeline and leads to Sales Revenue.
• Research potential clients in new & existing markets, pursue leads and move them through the sales cycle
• Fully understand the customer's business challenges, culture, and environment, specifically market trends, future technology, competition, and partners that may affect the customer's business.
• Attend exhibitions, conferences, and shows as required.
• RFP/RFQ/RFI, Technical proposal preparation.
• Support and expand on new business opportunities with the Global Market.
• Responsible for the health of the customer relationship and success for both the customer and MetOcean.
• Be valued by the customer as a trusted advisor and a reliable focal point for business and systems issues.
• Represent the company at the highest level to clients, peer organizations, and business associates.
• Maintain a high profile in professional and community organizations.
• Follow the MetOcean Sales Process with daily updates & tracking of opportunities and activity in CRM.
• Sales forecasting and planning.

 

Education:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Experiences:

 

• 5+ years of related experience in Sales/Account Management of technical products.
• Goal oriented with a history of achieving/exceeding sales targets.
• Strong business acumen.
• Proven ability to proactively engage with leaders and facilitate discussions.
• Strong organizational and business management skills.
• A professional demeanor and ability to interact with the highest levels both inside and outside the organization.
• Successful in proactively creating and maintaining strong internal and external relationships with centers of influence, team members, and management.
• Ability to obtain CANADA and NATO security clearance.
• Available to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ocean Tech and/or IoT Sales Experience preferred.

 

Technical and Non-Technical Skills:

 

• Has the aptitude to understand the full breadth of the company’s products and services.
• Self-sufficient and can deliver necessary work with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of customer service.
• Demonstrates excellent skills in working as part of a team.
• Experience with CRM (Salesforce/MS Dynamics).
