Meridia Recruitment is proud to partner with Ocean Choice International in their search for a General Manager to join their Atlantic Fleet Operations Group. This key role will tackle important challenges and help drive OCI’s vision forward. Reporting to both the Chief Executive Officer and the President, this position is crucial in ensuring the safe and responsible management of one fishing vessel.


What You’ll Do:


• Plan Fishing Trips: Schedule and plan fishing trips to keep everything running smoothly.
• Oversee Maintenance: Work with the crew to maintain the vessel.
• Ensure Safety: Make sure the vessel follows all safety rules and company guidelines.
• Report Performance: Create and review monthly reports on how the vessel is doing.
• Improve Operations: Lead projects to make vessel operations better.
• Work with Teams: Collaborate with sales, marketing, quality assurance, and finance teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.
• Solve Problems: Use your problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects in a busy environment.

 

Who You Are:


• A natural collaborator who can motivate others and partner with different departments.
• Solutions-focused with strong judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Trained in a marine discipline (preferred).
• Experienced in working in a marine or manufacturing environment.
