Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered up with a global leading provider of assurance, tax, business and technology consulting services to recruit a (Senior) Audit Manager from Canada to join their team in the Cayman Islands.
The Cayman Islands is a major international financial centre with global leadership in several areas, including international banking & trust business, international insurance and reinsurance, structured finance and of course a world leader in offshore funds.
Our client’s clients consist predominantly of highly reputable and internationally based financial services entities including funds (digital assets, hedge, VC and PE), banks, insurance and reinsurance, and various other entities and service providers within the financial services community.

Your Responsibilities:
Together with and under the supervision of the Audit Partners/Directors, the Audit Manager will be responsible for multiple engagements encompassing all aspects of the audit from the initial planning to the completion of fieldwork and issuance of the financial statements.
Your Requirements:
• Candidates must hold a CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA or other internationally recognized professional accounting designation and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a medium to large professional services firm, demonstrating increasing levels of supervisory experience.
• Extensive Audit Experience in Financial Services (Investment Funds) required.
• Strong knowledge of USGAAP/GAAS and IFRS/ISA must be demonstrated.
• Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and to be proficient in holding discussions with engagement team and client management
• Proven ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with client management
• Strong commitment to client service
• Thorough understanding of client industries with the ability to recognize key performance drivers, business trends and emerging technical and industry developments
• Proven management experience in working with teams, providing authority and latitude to act through effective delegation
• Ability to focus the team to achieve identified objectives
• Highly organized, effective coordinator of people and resources to complete tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to interact with clients and staff at various levels
• Ability to cope with a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing business development strategies that led to significant growth
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to generate revenue and improve profitability
• Candidates must have the flexibility to work overtime as it will be required on a regular basis
