Shift Supervisor - Mechanical

Meridia is supporting a large and successful global pipe manufacturer and services business with their search for a Shift Supervisor.

 

Work with a diverse team in an environment with opportunities for career-related learning and growth on a 12-hour rotating shift and in a unionized environment. Support with relocation expenses can be provided.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Mitigate opportunities for failures across production processes by ensuring issues are diagnosed and corrected to ensure equipment and overall line availability and reliability are maximized.
  • Perform general inspections on equipment.
  • Support Sr. Supervisors with preventive maintenance tasks and failure analyses.
  • Comply with HSE procedures, report incidents and share observations, perform inspections, and participate in the investigation process.
  • Manage and update the maintenance information system and technical documentation.
  • Participate in maintenance initiatives to reduce the use of energy.
  • Analyze, interpret, and recommend courses of action for more complex topics.
  • Lead team members during their assigned shifts, coordinate schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure safe working conditions.
  • Motivate, coach, and effectively communicate with your team and business stakeholders.

Qualifications:  

  • Min. of 3 years of similar industry experience.
  • Mechatronics and/or electrical specialization.  
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office applications.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset and high ability to problem solve.
