Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered up with Durham Regional Police Services to recruit a Coordinator, Talent & Education to join their team in Whitby, Ontario. Reporting to the Supervisor of Talent Management, this position is responsible for the coordination of professional development opportunities. This includes planning, implementing and providing guidance on learning/development opportunities and the administration of tuition reimbursement for the Service, as well as other educational programs.

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

• Develops reports, tools, templates and data structure to share professional development information and provide regular updates to leadership on learner statuses and performance.
• Maintain accuracy of databases for reporting and compliance purposes related to learning and development.
• Maintain a prospect for all courses and members enrolled in professional development, detailing tuition fees, course / program completion dates and share regularly with leadership.
• Track course completion status and application numbers for members engaged in courses and other professional development opportunities.
• Address member inquiries on professional development opportunities and tuition reimbursement.
• Reviews budget to facilitate decision-making and support tuition reimbursement for members.
• Support the Tuition Reimbursement Committee providing scheduling, administration and information sharing
• Support members by providing resources and/or tools on learning, leadership and professional development.
• Assist with the coordination of talent management initiatives, such as the promotional process.
• Other duties, projects, as assigned (individual or group responsibilities

 

Your Requirements:

 

• Completion of diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
• Completion of a degree related to Research and/or Adult Education principles will be considered an asset.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an office environment creating/managing databases and preparing reports with proven research abilities and strong customer services skills.
• Working knowledge of academic programming, processes, policy and academic credentials.
• Understanding of Learning Management Systems will be considered an asset.
• Experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) will be considered an asset
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).


Hours
Monday to Friday / Day Shift (may occasionally require flexibility in hours or overtime)
