Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered up with Green and Spiegel LLP, a prominent Immigration law firm to recruit a Director, Marketing and Business Development to join their Toronto office. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer. The Director, Marketing and Business Development is a dynamic strategic planner, brand developer, and storyteller driving business objectives. This role is responsible for maintaining and exploiting existing relationships as well as tapping into new networks via marketing to build new relationships. The Director, Marketing and Business Development is also responsible for executing the firms’ marketing strategy and taking the lead in organizing events to explore new business development opportunities as well as avenues for building and positioning the brand in the marketplace.

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

• Creates, directs, and oversees all marketing strategies for the firm, the lawyers, and other professionals at Green and Spiegel, to help ensure clients feel they are a valued part of our business.
• Leads Green and Spiegel’s marketing and business development department.
• Reports to the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Committee to establish short-and long-term strategic B2B marketing plans to drive revenue within budget.
• Drafts and designs materials to communicate Green and Spiegel’s story and explain complex legal concepts in simple terms to internal and external stakeholders, including award nominations.
• Researches and identifies trends and challenges, then collaborates with lawyers, teams, and external marketing.
• Posts materials to website and social media, keeping both up-to-date and optimizing for SEO.
• Drafts responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and designs pitches for new work.
• Responsible for progressing and tracking lead generation, from new business initiatives to client appreciation programs.
• Conducts market research to identify opportunities and inform project decision making.
• Drafts and communicates thought leadership to target markets on complex business topics.
• Successfully leads revenue-generating marketing strategies.
• Identifies prospective awards, tracks deadlines, and co-coordinates the application processes.

Your Requirements:

 

• Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field is required.
• Minimum five to seven years of experience in related field.
• Proficiency in computers (e.g., MS Office, Database, etc.) is strongly preferred.
• Broad experience in traditional and digital marketing, elevating brand equity, web and social media management, and design.
• Innovative strategic thinker who implements internal and external growth initiatives promoting business.
• Able to deal with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written communication skills (oral and written).
• Attention to detail and an eye for design and presentation.
• Creative and enthusiastic individual.
