Our client, a small architecture and interior design firm in Pittsburgh PA, is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to work on a variety of high-profile assignments. Clients are in the residential, commercial and hospitality sectors, and you’ll be working on both renovation and new construction projects.

In this role, you will work alongside the firm’s Principals, Architecture and Interior Design staff, in a growing and highly collaborative studio. As the ideal candidate, you will be passionate about design, creative in nature, extremely detail-oriented and have a strong commitment to client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Collect client space requirements and develop space program documents for projects.
• Lead the interior design portion of project design presentations, as needed.
• Participate in the development of construction documents, and assess documents for compliance with relevant code, sustainability & accessibility standards as well as design intent.
• Modify and update construction documents as required, while also participating in construction administration and site visits.
• Ensure timely and effective management in the delivery of designs, plans and specifications to ensure project goals and objectives have been satisfied.
• Process shop drawings.
• Stay current with the latest design trends, architectural/design products, and materials.
• Function as a primary contact for clients to nurture and maintain effective client relationships.
• Participate in business development as a mentee, and engage in networking opportunities to represent the firm to the greater Pittsburgh community.
• Mentor other interior designers and other staff members on interior design concepts to create a learning/growing work environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience designing residential, commercial, and/or hospitality interiors.
• Extremely strong technical skills, with the demonstrated ability to produce quality construction documents in Revit.
• Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD and Sketchup, with an emphasis on 3D presentation. Experience in Lumion. Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
• NCIDQ certification, LEED or WELL accreditation are definite assets.
