As their operational footprint expands across office, marine industrial, and vessel environments, they are seeking a highly capable IT & Systems Manager to lead the development, integration, and security of their growing technology ecosystem.
The IT & Systems Manager will oversee the implementation, maintenance, and protection of all technology systems both, onshore and offshore. This includes network and server management, technology integration across vessels, cybersecurity, system implementation, and hands-on IT support for all departments. With significant exposure to marine communication systems, scientific instrumentation, and data-heavy environments, this role is critical to enabling seamless operations across Sea Centric’s fleet and teams.

The IT & Systems Manager will oversee the implementation, maintenance, and protection of all technology systems both, onshore and offshore. This includes network and server management, technology integration across vessels, cybersecurity, system implementation, and hands-on IT support for all departments. With significant exposure to marine communication systems, scientific instrumentation, and data-heavy environments, this role is critical to enabling seamless operations across Sea Centric’s fleet and teams.
What You Will Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT security standards, monitoring, and incident response.
- Lead the implementation and integration of systems, tools, networks, and vessel based technologies.
- Maintain and optimize servers, backups, storage environments, and documentation structures.
- Provide day-to-day IT support across office, port, and vessel operations.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between office systems, vessels, and real-time data platforms.
- Support technology deployment and troubleshooting for marine equipment, sensors, and scientific systems.
- Lead onboarding for new employees, including device setup, training, and account configuration.
- Maintain and manage inventories, upgrades, and diagnostics for all IT and fleet based technology assets.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Administration, or Information Systems is considered an asset.
- Bring proven hands on experience in IT support, system administration, or technical operations.
- Comfortable implementing systems, integrations, backend tools, or infrastructure.
- Experienced with IT security, privacy practices, device safeguards, and monitoring.
- Strong background in traditional IT: hardware, software, networks, servers, accounts, and connectivity.
- Able to support technology in remote or field based environments (vessels, sites, labs, or similar).
- Skilled in system integration and supporting data-heavy workflows.
- Strong communicator with the ability to support and train non-technical users.
- Organized, reliable, and experienced managing technology inventories.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, project driven environment.
