This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship driven professional to play a central role in shaping the future of Newfoundland and Labrador’s growing tech ecosystem.
As the Talent & Companies Attraction Manager, you’ll help position Newfoundland and Labrador as a destination of choice for senior and specialized tech talent, while supporting companies exploring opportunities to grow or expand here. This role blends engagement, strategy, and creativity. Ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and turning ideas into action. You’ll represent techNL across Canada and beyond. Cultivating connections with talent, tech leaders, ecosystem partners, and championing NL as a vibrant place to build a career or a business.
The Ideal Candidate
You bring experience in business development, partnerships, account management, or talent attraction. Any role where relationship building and strategic engagement are central. You are a proactive, creative problem solver who can independently take initiatives from concept to execution. You understand company needs, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and ideally have some familiarity with the NL tech ecosystem. Experience with public speaking, presenting, and client advisory work is essential, while knowledge of immigration pathways and relocation processes is an asset.

Additional Details:
- This role is a full-time contract position, with the contract expiring on March 31, 2030.
- This position involves working primarily in-person at least three days a week (Tues, Wed, Thus) in St. John’s, NL.
- This position requires occasional out of province travel.
- The role includes a mandatory group health benefits plan.
- 3 weeks paid annual vacation included, with an additional paid week between December 25th and January 31st.
