Now, we are partnering with League Data looking to bring a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional to their finance team in the role of Accounting Analyst. 


Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Leading end-to-end month-end close including preparation and reviewing of journals, working papers, and balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining a clear audit trail.
  • Managing invoice cadence, revenue calculations, monthly billings, vendor set-ups, invoice processing, AR aging, collections, bank reconciliations, and monitoring cash positioning.
  • Coordinating payroll and benefits with HR, posting payroll entries, preparing and filing HST/GST and other required filings.
  • Producing monthly reporting packs with KPIs and variance notes. Providing actuals and insights to support forecasting and budgeting. 
  • Maintaining internal controls, keeping SOPs up to date, and recommending efficiency improvements.
  • Building PBC binders, schedules, and samples, liaising with auditors, and documenting resolutions for continuity.
  • Overseeing relationships, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments and billing. 
  • Adding or removing users, adjusting limits, ensuring balances are paid on time. 
  • Other related duties as required. 

The ideal candidate will possess:
 
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • CPA designation will be considered and asset.
  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, and audit exposure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, SAGE, Globe, or similar ERP.
  • Working knowledge of ASPE/GAAP and sales tax compliance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and self-motivation. 
  • Strong reconciliation discipline and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
