Role description:
As a Consultant with Meridia, you will be part of a high-performing team of dedicated professionals, with a strong focus on permanent recruitment for leading companies and organizations. In addition to supporting and growing our presence locally, you will also play a key role in expanding our reach into new markets across Canada, helping to build relationships and drive recruitment success beyond the province. You will focus on relationship development and providing clients and candidates with exemplary service and trustworthy counsel. By developing and sustaining partnerships with clients and building quality candidate networks, you will successfully connect great talent with top employers in a highly professional manner.
Your responsibilities will include:
You are a self-motivated relationship builder who possesses strong listening skills and an obvious tenacity for business development and networking. As the ideal candidate, you must have business development and client management experience. Highly organized and detail orientated with strong interpersonal, communication and time-management skills, you demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach, as well as competitiveness and contagious team spirit.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and sustaining strong relationships with clients, with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Growing and managing our client portfolio by building solid networks and identifying leads for new business opportunities, and by consistently meeting client recruitment requirements.
- Researching candidate profiles, reviewing and assessing applications against client requirements, and leveraging your ability to build rapport quickly to engage qualified candidates,
- Building an extensive candidate network to enable you to connect great talent with top employers in a highly professional manner.

- Proven experience in client and account management, with a strong focus on building and maintaining professional relationships.
- Demonstrated ability in prospecting and cold calling, with a track record of identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple recruitment assignments and client needs simultaneously.
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen actively and build trust.
- Highly organized, with strong time-management and follow-through.
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant field would be preferred.
- Previous experience in recruitment or talent acquisition is an asset.
- Freedom to build your own book of business within a leading recruitment company.
