Standish Management is a provider of specialized fund administration services for Managers and General Partners of private equity funds, specifically: Buy‐out, Venture Capital, Real Estate and Fund‐of‐ Funds. For new General Partners, they provide consulting services to help accelerate the launch of their funds in addition to our full fund administration services. For established General Partners, they provide administration services and technology to whole fund families or select funds, to help scale their fund operations rapidly and efficiently.  


We are excited to partner with them as we look for an experienced and strategic Cayman AML Compliance Manager.


This role is crucial for ensuring that the company adheres to Cayman regulatory standards, maintains strong compliance practices, and fosters a culture of governance. The Manager will be responsible for assisting in the development and updating of compliance policies, monitoring daily operations for compliance adherence, investigating incidents, and maintaining accurate documentation. This position requires advanced knowledge of industry best practices, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to lead and mentor teams while driving compliance initiatives.


Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating compliance policies and procedures to ensure they meet current regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and report any deviations, identifying areas for corrective action.
  • Work closely with Senior Managers and Directors to cultivate and sustain a compliance culture within the organization.
  • Investigate compliance breaches and non-compliance incidents. Recommend corrective actions and work with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve the issues.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of compliance activities, assessments, and incident resolutions. Ensure proper documentation is available for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Assistant Managers and Senior Analysts within the compliance team.
  • Tackle complex compliance challenges with a proactive approach, using both standard and non-standard procedures.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Engage with senior leaders and external stakeholders to inform and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement by staying informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices.
  • Actively contribute to strategic planning, ensuring that compliance initiatives align with broader organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will possess:
 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Risk Management, Accounting, Finance).
  • 6+ years of proven experience in working with Cayman risk compliance, reporting, and governance, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Proven track record in policy development, compliance monitoring, and incident management.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to guide and develop junior staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A keen understanding of Cayman industry trends, regulations, and the financial landscape.
