Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with the BF&M Group of Companies, a multinational insurance organization, on their search for a Senior Project Manager to join their team. 

The Senior Project Manager plays a critical role within the enterprise-level Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for leading large-scale, cross-functional enterprise projects that drive strategic business outcomes. This position ensures the successful delivery of programs and projects by applying best-in-class project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement strategies, and risk mitigation techniques.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Accountable to manage the enterprise-wide project scope, budget and plan
•    Draft and manage multiple project plans, including dependencies with other project(s)
•    Integrate organizational change management tasks to prepare business units for change, to manage and reinforce change
•    Manage Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) log
•    Document and present status updates to steering committees and leadership teams; establish project governance cadence
•    Coordinate and manage project resources (ex. project leads, stakeholders, vendors and SMEs) and ensure the right resources attend relevant sessions/meetings
•    Ensure project leads engage and leverage the appropriate supporting resources as may be needed 
•    Manage session/meeting logistics and distribute meeting minutes
•    Manage project budget, project scope and any changes orders
•    Support the intake of new project ideas
•    Monitor benefits realization and tracking
•    Mentor and support junior project managers
•    Facilitate project meetings, and proactively clear roadblocks and address concerns to maintain project momentum

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

•    A minimum of 7–10+ years of experience managing complex projects or programs
•    Relevant certifications a plus, ex. PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, PRINCE2, or other Agile/Lean.
•    Understanding of and experience in multiple project management methodologies
•    Understanding of and experience with change management (e.g. ADKAR, Prosci)
•    Understanding of project governance – risk and issue management resource management, management of schedule and budget , project ownership (RACI), project reporting and project communications
•    Experience with solution implementations is an asset 
•    Experience in managing cross functional virtual teams with both internal and external members, monitoring progress and fostering an effective working environment
•    Knowledge of organizational structure, business process management is an asset
•    Skilled in the use of project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet) and proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or other similar software)
•    Proven track record delivering complex projects
•    Experience in regulated or complex industries, particularly finance or insurance, would be advantageous
