Reporting to the VP Finance, the Controller will be responsible for accurate and timely finance reporting for Source Atlantic that complies with US GAAP, optimizing the close process to achieve HQ reporting timelines and accuracy, and supporting a potential ERP conversion.

Reporting to the VP Finance, the Controller will be responsible for accurate and timely finance reporting for Source Atlantic that complies with US GAAP, optimizing the close process to achieve HQ reporting timelines and accuracy, and supporting a potential ERP conversion.
Responsibilities will include:
- Aligning standard closing procedures that are harmonized across Canada where possible unless drive by business differences.
- Documenting accounting policies in conjunction with the rest of Canadian finance during the transition from Canadian ASPE to US GAAP.
- Performing a deep dive analysis of monthly/quarterly accruals.
- Reviewing opportunities for automation.
- Developing a road map to achieve SOX compliance in 2025.
- Ensuring financial data integrity and consistency.
- Other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- CPA designation.
- 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX.
- Experience in a publicly traded company.
- Process driven coupled with the drive for continual improvement.
- Deadline focused while maintaining a collaborative environment and strong culture.
- Effective communication skills.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
