Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with the BF&M Group of Companies, multinational insurance organization on their search for an Actuarial Analyst to join their team. The Actuarial Analyst supports the delivery of core L&H actuarial activities.The successful candidate will contribute to data-driven insights, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of actuarial processes, working closely with both internal teams and senior stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Reporting Manager: Global L&H Actuary
  • Assist with exciting Group projects, including the implementation of IFRS 17 reporting and development, gaining firsthand experience with cutting-edge actuarial standards.
  • Develop, refine, and support actuarial assumption setting through detailed experience studies, ensuring accurate and robust financial modeling.
  • Collaborate on projects that enhance and innovate our actuarial products and procedures, contributing to the evolution of our business.
  • Support actuarial valuation activities under IFRS17, gaining proficiency in essential financial reporting processes.
  • Conduct in-depth actuarial analyses of our existing product portfolio, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of capital filings and respond to ad-hoc requests from regulatory bodies like the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide support for regular reporting functions, including audit, regulatory capital filings, and ORSA, developing a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform other tasks and contribute to special projects as assigned, expanding your skillset and contributing to the team's success.
Your Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, finance, or related fields.
  • ASA designation strongly preferred. 
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines
  • Advanced Experience with Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with GGY AXIS considered a bonus (or other Actuarial valuation software)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • An interest in working in a highly dynamic environment.
