Meridia Recruitment Solutions is thrilled to be partnered with PSA Halifax looking to bring a driven, resourceful, and eager Accounting Manager to their team!


In consultation with and at the direction of the Corporate Controller the position will be responsible for financial and operational accounting of the company which will include monthly accounting and reporting, regulatory reporting, budgeting, oversight of the financial reporting team and collaborate on a number of finance led projects.


Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Financial reporting and analysis.
  • Preparation and review of monthly journal entries.
  • Budgeting and forecasting.
  • Activity Based Costing (ABC).
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors.
  • Management of Reporting Team.
  • Leading finance projects.

The ideal candidate will possess:
 
  • CPA designation coupled with 4+ years’ experience.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS reporting standards and consolidation.
  • Experience with business planning, financial reporting and working with budgets.
  • Experience using data to make decisions and manage processes.
  • Highly organized with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • A team player with a can-do, self-motivated attitude who has demonstrated honesty, credibility and trustworthiness.
  • Experience with ERP implementations, financial modeling, tax compliance, and automating processes is considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint, Microsoft Dynamics).
