Our Client, a dynamic, mid-sized entrepreneurial business law firm with a commitment to collaboration and client success, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Lawyer with a minimum of six years in commercial real estate transactions to join their law firm. This is a great opportunity to represent developers and investors in ground-up developments, property conversions, and rehabilitation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Ground up and rehabilitation development, including review and interpretation of environmental assessment reports.
- Drafting and reviewing Purchase Agreements, Asset Purchase Agreements, and easements.
- Reviewing and interpreting complex Title Commitments.
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, including AIA forms.
- Reviewing and interpreting municipal ordinances.
- Taking a municipal project from introduction through project approval, including obtaining variances, rezonings and conditional use permits.
- Working with team applying for and obtaining economic incentives.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- 6+ years including substantial experience in ground up and rehabilitation development.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
