On their behalf, we are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented staff accountant to join their team. This position is critical to ensuring the smooth management of our accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, employee expenses, and financial reporting across all three regions.
What You’ll Do:
Financial Reporting:
- Monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Prepare and distribute regular reports to relevant stakeholders, detailing payments made, overdue balances, employee expenses, and actionable items.
- Assist with the preparation of sales tax returns
Vendor Invoices and Accounts Payable Management:
- Oversee and maintain the end-to-end accounts payable processes for the USA, Canada, and UK.
- Proactively escalate delays in payments, unresolved expense issues, or financial discrepancies to maintain operational transparency.
- Maintain a well-organized vendor invoice filing system.
Employee Expense Management:
- Review and verify employee expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies and accuracy of submissions and process approved expenses in a timely manner.
- Invoicing & Receivable Management:
- Generate monthly customer invoices based on information provided by the Customer Success Managers
- Oversee and maintain the end-to-end receivable processes for the USA, Canada, and UK regions.
Stakeholder Communication & Issue Escalation:
- Work closely with internal teams, including Customer Success Managers and leadership, to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Process Improvement:
- Contribute to refining and enhancing financial processes, including expense management, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
File & Email Management:
- Monitor associated inboxes, ensuring timely responses and efficient handling of queries.
Who You Are:
Work Experience: 5+ years’ experience in a similar role managing accounts payable, receivable, and employee expenses. As well as experience in preparing or supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements. Experience working across multiple regions (USA, Canada, and UK) would be preferred.
Technical Experience: Proficient and experienced in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with QuickBooks Online would be considered an asset.
Skills & Attributes: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
