Meridia Recruitment Solutions is looking for a Recruitment Specialist to join our growing team! Meridia Recruitment Solutions is a KBRS company, sharing a 50-year tradition of recruitment excellence that has led to the growth of the firm as a leader in the industry.
Meridia’s post-secondary recruitment practice partners with universities and colleges across the country to support their hiring needs at the director, manager, and staff level on the organizational chart. Established four years ago, the practice has quickly become a consistent contributor within Meridia Recruitment.
The client base of Meridia’s post-secondary practice ranges from large, high-profile universities to smaller, rural colleges. The practice works with both public and private institutions and mainly focuses on positions on the administration-side of these organizations. There are a variety of skills for which Meridia’s post-secondary practice recruits, including but not limited to: Finance, Human Resources and Labour Relations, Student Services, Registrar’s Office, Fundraising and Advancement, Information Technology, Administrative Support, and Marketing and Communications. By focusing on the post-secondary sector, Meridia has become a trusted advisor in this space across the country.
As the Recruitment Specialist for this practice, you will work closely with the lead Partner as a two-person team. While candidate recruitment will be a focal point of the position, you will have the unique opportunity to gain experience in a variety of other aspects of professional services, including business development strategy, proposal writing, and presentations. There will also be an administrative element to the position, involving scheduling and coordination, writing job descriptions, updating the CRM, and consistent email correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Providing support to the Partner in conducting candidate research using different candidate databases and inventories and through online research.
• Preparing candidate materials for clients.
• Preparing proposals and conducting research to support business development.
• Supporting the quality and accuracy of our database through the quality assurance of incoming data and management of candidate data in our systems.
• Creating job ads and posting within available platforms. When applicable, appropriately record paid ads and communicate to accounting to support invoicing.
• Providing reporting and research support in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, such as producing records of experience reports for proposals.
• Occasionally supporting the drafting of job descriptions and client profiles.
• Contributing to a positive, collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Assisting with the recruitment and selection process of different roles, which may include collecting applications, screening candidates and conducting reference checks.
