Role Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Construction & Development, the Senior Project Manager will lead and oversee all construction activities for high-end residential development projects, from concept to completion. You will call upon your expertise to troubleshoot and support any issues that arise throughout a project, regularly suggesting innovative ideas that will increase efficiencies amongst project teams. Your financial management skills will be used to implement, manage, and respect project budgets, and you will be responsible for ensuring that key project deadlines are met.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Provide technical expertise, leadership, and support to a variety of high-rise residential development projects, ensuring that construction activities are adhering to design plans, budgets, schedules, and quality standards;
  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, crews, trade partners, consultants, and clients to achieve the project goals and vision;
  • Serve as an expert in risk management to ensure any associated project risks are proactively identified and minimized;
  • Recommend innovative construction methodologies that will increase efficiency and effectiveness, without sacrificing quality;
  • Utilize construction management software (i.e., Procore) to maintain current records of project status and documentation;
  • Support the Site Superintendent in ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are being followed by on-site construction crews.

Your Qualifications
As the ideal candidate, you are a highly experienced Project Manager with demonstrated success leading complex multi-unit high-rise residential, commercial, or institutional construction projects. You have supported all phases of large-scale projects and are known for your ability to deliver key milestones, on time and on budget. Most importantly, you are an approachable leader and team player, who takes great pride in the quality of your work.

Qualifications include:
  • 10+ years of project management experience, running all aspects of multi-unit high rise, commercial, or institutional building construction;
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (i.e., Engineering, Project Management) would be considered a strong asset;
  • P.Eng or PMP designation would be considered a strong asset;
  • In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction specifications and drawings, building codes, and safety and quality management practices;
  • Strong financial and budgeting expertise, with the ability to manage and respect large project budgets;
  • Strong negotiation, time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Expertise in using Procore as a construction management software would be considered an asset.
