Over the last few years, this has included over 50 LEED® Certified Projects, including 3 Net-Zero buildings and major projects such as Dubai Sustainable City, Markham Pan-Am Aquatics Facility and Scotiabank Convention Center. Other exciting projects include sporting facilities like the Doha 2022 World Cup Stadiums, 5 star resorts in the Caribbean and a multitude of unique healthcare, institutional and condominium buildings. With a focus on continued growth and succession planning, Jain Sustainability Consultants is looking to add a new senior member to their team in the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer.
As a member of the senior engineering team, the Senior Mechanical engineer will be reporting to the President and providing technical leadership and project oversight for all HVAC, plumbing and fire protection services. The senior mechanical engineer will provide oversight of projects from start to finish and applying a high level of technical, professional engineering and consulting experience to ensure the delivery milestones are met. Practically, the senior engineer will participate and lead in client meetings and support in proposal preparation activities including feasibility studies and building condition assessments. By being the subject matter expert, the senior mechanical engineer will stay up to date on new systems and technology fostering innovation in this competitive landscape.
As the ideal candidate, you will bring 10+ years in the design of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection services in Canada, including experience in high-rise projects. You will be a professional engineer with your P.Eng designation and be familiar with national, provincial and municipal codes and standards ensuring the design documents meet established project criteria and applicable standards. You will have experience mentoring junior engineers and designers and be known for working in a collaborative way with colleagues and external parties. You possess strong communication, organization, leadership, and presentation skills.
