Meridia Recruitment is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join the KMK team and contribute to a collaborative and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Processing: Take charge of managing accounts payable invoices, sorting and distributing incoming invoices for approval, ensuring timely processing of payments and receipts.
- Vendor Relations: Support and build strong relationships with vendors and in-house staff to resolve accounts payable issues and guarantee timely payments.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements, process payments via EFT and checks, and perform monthly reconciliations of inter-company accounts.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post recurring journal entries to maintain accurate accounting records.
- File Management: Maintain a well-organized vendor invoice filing system and set up new vendors as required.
Who You Are:
- Skillset: You have experience with accounting fundamentals and exposure to accounts payable and receivable processes. You understand the importance of accuracy and are able to manage deadlines and a fluctuating volume of work.
- Attitude: Keen and open to learning, comfortable asking questions, and always eager to improve and grow in your role.
- Communicative: Your interpersonal and communication skills enable you to effectively resolve accounts payable issues.
- Detail-Oriented: You are highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience with PO systems and demonstrated ability to learn new software and programs. If you happen to have familiarity with Yardi software, that would be a plus.
- Self-Driven: You work independently with a high degree of accountability for your assigned tasks.
