The ideal Senior CPA will be an individual with strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a passion for providing excellent client service. They will manage a variety of accounting responsibilities for multiple clients across different industries.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of client financial reports.
- Working with students to ensure CPA training and education are a priority.
- Completing corporate and personal tax preparations.
- Performing audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in various industries.
- Providing training and assistance to co-op students and newly hired technicians.
- Providing assistance to clients to optimize their accounting systems, internal controls and processes.
- Staying up to date on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations.
- Communicating with Canada Revenue Agency when required.
- Other related duties as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- CPA designation.
- Post-secondary degree in business administration or accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with others inside and outside of the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support.
- Dedication to providing exceptional client service and support.
