We are excited to be partnered with Mable Health as we look to bring a Finance Manager to their team in Halifax!

Reporting to the VP, Finance and Operations, and collaborating with the VP, Corporate Development, this role will work closely with the senior management team to support the building of a national multidisciplinary healthcare company through a buy-and-build strategy. This role requires a seasoned finance professional with a strong interest in both acquisitive and organic growth. As the Finance Manager, you will support establishing and enhancing the company’s financial functions. 

Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Working with other members of the finance team to ensure the reporting of accurate, compliant, and timely information to stakeholders on a regular basis (monthly, quarterly, and annual), including consolidated financial statements, Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), financial institution compliance reports, tax filings, and supporting schedules as may be required.
  • Ensuring the complete and effective gathering, analysis, and reporting of financial data and operating results from each of Mable Health’s brands/regions, including supporting the finance teams within the operating companies.
  • Coordinating and preparing schedules and working papers for annual audits, interim reviews, and tax returns with the external audit team.
  • Participating with senior management and operational teams to provide forecasts of operating results, cash flows, key performance indicators, and capital expenditures. 
  • Managing in-depth financial analyses as required, including key account reconciliations and intercompany accounting.
  • Supporting the execution and implementation of operating metrics for all clinic operations. 
  • Preparing cash flow forecasts for the group of companies and managing cash flow by entity to ensure compliance with key lending terms, including preparation of debt covenant calculations/compliance certificates in accordance with loan facility requirements. 
  • Supporting the VP, Corporate Development, in conducting preliminary financial due diligence on potential acquisitions, assisting in the quality of earnings assessment process, financial modelling, and summarizing analyses for final presentation packages. 
  • Assisting with purchase price allocation determination and accounting, purchase price true-ups and other transaction closing accounting requirements. 
  • Supporting ERP and other system implementations.
  • Other related duties as required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
 
  • CPA designation coupled with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial reporting.
