Meridia has partnered with a prominent producer of high-quality paper products, offering both well-known national brands and private-label options.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Adhere to all site and department safety practices, ensuring compliance from all personnel in the immediate work area
  • Apply technical expertise to execute planned maintenance and address unexpected repairs
  • Skillfully troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial and mechanical equipment
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on all equipment
  • Engage actively in the planning process to optimize work scheduling and resource allocation
  • Execute tasks as scheduled by planners, including preventive maintenance, inspections, and rounds
  • Ensure proper documentation of maintenance work in accordance with Maintenance Best Practices
  • Record all maintenance activities and their status in both the shift logbook and work order systems
  • Effectively utilize computerized maintenance tools for job execution
  • Participate in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting within area of responsibility
  • Conduct and document shift assessments to evaluate overall process health

Qualifications:  

  • Lead Possession of a 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright License
  • Completion of an apprenticeship is highly desirable
  • At least 2 years of experience in the manufacturing sector
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and both verbal and written communication
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proven knowledge of and compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced production environment with multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail, precision, and follow-through
  • Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts
  • Machining experience is advantageous

Salary: $100K+

 

Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm Monday to Friday. Occasionally, may be required to work 12 hour rotating shifts including overnights and weekends.
