Role Description:
As the Assistant Director of Talent & Culture, reporting to the Director of Talent & Culture, you will take the lead on the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and processes; while also supporting recruitment, training and onboarding, payroll and benefits administration, Occupational Health and Safety, HR compliance, and performance management, striving to promote and create a positive employee experience at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Talent & Culture Department and play a critical role in the implementation of Cabot’s Talent & Culture strategy;
  • Support Talent Acquisition and Recruitment functions and processes;
  • Develop, review, and improve employee programs;
  • Develop and implement strategies to support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) within the organization;
  • Promote positive Employee Relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect, and fun;
  • Assist Departmental Leaders and Senior Managers with the development of specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified through the employee feedback process;
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and service standards;
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by the Director, Talent & Culture.

Your Qualifications:

Qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably with a concentration in Human Resources, or other related discipline with relevant experience will also be considered;
  • 3+ years’ of strong Generalist experience, supporting a wide range of HR functions;
  • CPHR designation (or candidacy) would be considered a strong asset;
  • Experience working in Human Resources within the Hospitality industry would be considered a strong asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, coupled with the ability to work cohesively as part of a team;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times;
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office/Suite applications.
