The Co. Innovation Centre is a collaborative space in Newfoundland and Labrador designed to address the technology development needs of established and growing companies. Through unique programming, access to specialized technology assets, and proximity to other innovators, the Centre offers numerous opportunities for collaboration and visibility. Supported by techNL, in partnership with Energy NL, Canada’s Ocean Supercluster (OSC), and Energy Research & Innovation Newfoundland & Labrador (ERINL), its mission is to build a globally focused, Newfoundland-driven, world-leading Innovation Centre that enhances and diversifies the province’s innovation capacity.
Meridia Recruitment is proud to partner with the COIC in their search for a Facility Coordinator who will ensure the smooth operation of their newly renovated 54,143 square-foot building. Reporting to the President, this key role will focus on maintaining and enhancing the facility to support innovation and productivity.
What You’ll Do:
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain the innovative space in pristine condition by coordinating repairs, planning improvements, and ensuring the environment sparks creativity and productivity.
- Safety & Security: Implement top-notch security protocols, manage access control systems, and develop emergency response plans to ensure everyone’s safety.
- Tech & IT: Oversee the tech infrastructure by working with the managed network service provider to ensure seamless internet and IT services, regularly auditing and enhancing systems.
- Sustainability: Champion green practices by implementing energy-efficient solutions and recycling programs to make operations eco-friendly.
Who You Are:
- Educational Background: You have a degree in facility management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience from your previous roles.
- Facility Management Enthusiast: You have hands-on experience supporting facility management tasks and are eager to help maintain and improve high-tech spaces.
- Growing Professional: You bring experience working in fast-paced environments and are excited to learn and grow while supporting the management of complex facilities.
- Partnership Builder: You are skilled at building strong partnerships with service providers and managing contracts with precision.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like SharePoint, Teams, and others, with an understanding of IT infrastructure and systems.
- Organizational Leader: You have a keen eye for detail and operational efficiency, ensuring all facilities-related processes are streamlined and effective.
- Collaborative Partner: You are a team player who works seamlessly with others, understanding the needs of different stakeholders and aligning your goals with theirs.
- Agile and Innovative: You embrace challenges with enthusiasm and always seek out new ways to improve and innovate.
- Resilient: You maintain composure and effectiveness in dynamic, fast-changing environments.
- Problem-Solver: You are ready to tackle complex issues head-on.
