Meridia has partnered with a highly innovative and quickly growing integrated technology products manufacturer and support services provider in the healthcare and wellness industry.
As Millwright you will be part of the plant and facilities team based at our client’s Mississauga site. You will be focused on ensuring equipment reliability and availability. The Millwright provides daily maintenance support and contributes to project work.
Responsibilities:
- Source new customers through creative and ambitious sales activity, developing relationships, and managing current relationships with established clients.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process and input & update all relevant activities utilizing CRM daily. Onboarding new customers and collaborating with the management team to expedite capitalizing on opportunities. Maintain and update opportunity pipeline and sales reports.
- Regular communication with management, collaborating with operations staff to guarantee customer needs are met.
- Develop a strategic plan and set targets to achieve revenue growth.
- Schedule and participate in face-to-face meetings with clients to provide presentations, conduct appropriate needs assessments, and offer solutions to their logistics and supply chain needs.
- Prepare quotations and contribute to RFQ/RFI/RFP processes, working as a liaison between the business and its clients.
- High level of focus on leading continuous improvement initiatives and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- A valid Ontario and inter-provincial Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Journeyman certificate and min. of 5 years of post-certification experience.
- Experience in a chemical processing/production facility.
- Experience performing routine maintenance and repairs: pumps, agitators, dryers, compressors, centrifugal pumps, fans, mechanical seals, extruders, conveyors, positive displacement.
- Experience with CNC machining (using lathes/mills), rigging, mechanical seal repair/replacement, and pipe fitting.
- Experience with MIG/TIG/ARC and TSSA welding would be an asset.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams.
- Comfort with MS Office applications and intermediate comfort with AutoCAD. Exposure to SAP is an asset.
