We are pleased to partner with this family-oriented company in the search of a Controller to join their continuously growing team. Reporting directly to the General Manager and CEO, the Controller will be responsible for the smooth running of the company from a financial perspective. The Controller is a key, hands-on role in the organization and will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting and implementing efficient processes within the financial function. This is a role that will require someone to dig into details as well as see the big picture in a growth-oriented organization.


Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Managing the company’s financial transactions
  • Developing plans for the company’s financial growth
  • Preparing the company’s financial reports
  • Taking a leadership role in the budgeting process
  • Managing the company’s office and accounting employees
  • Preparing income and expenses statements
  • Evaluating and managing financial risk
  • Sign off on year ends
  • Other related duties as assigned


The ideal candidate will possess:

 

  • CPA designation
  • Excellent understanding of business and accounting concepts
  • Experience in conducting audits
  • Experience with spreadsheet and financial analysis software especially Sage Software
  • Understanding of taxation, payroll and other fiscal aspects of a business
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of regulatory and other financial standards and requirements
