On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Sales Consultant to join their team of dedicated professionals. This role will be based in NYC, reporting directly to the CEO.

 

As a Senior Sales Consultant with REDspace, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying and securing new clients and projects. Your primary responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, networking at targeted events and conferences, and building relationships with potential customers, promoting REDspace as a long term, trusted partner. You will maintain a deep understanding of REDspace’s capabilities and services, as well as the market trends and customer needs. You will use your communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to build rapport with prospects, demonstrate the value of REDspace’s solutions, and create a strong business network. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in sales or business development, preferably in software professional services, with experience in industries such as media, energy, or learning.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

• Identify and target potential clients in need of software development services. Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Conduct in-depth market and needs analysis to understand client requirements and challenges. Propose customized solutions that address their specific business needs.
• Develop sales strategies and plans based on the company's goals and objectives.
• Reach out to prospects using a variety of channels to generate leads and set up meetings.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals that showcase the features and benefits of REDspace’s service offerings and value proposition.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and seek referrals and cross-selling opportunities.
• Leverage your technical knowledge to effectively communicate the value of REDspace’s software development services and answer technical questions from clients, supported by technical sales engineers and other subject matter experts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to provide feedback and insights from the market.
• Track and report on sales performance using CRM tools and metrics.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with potential customers and partners.
• Stay informed about new technologies, industry trends, and evolving client needs to anticipate market demands, effectively position client services software, and drive competitive advantage.
• Continuously enhance product knowledge and understanding of customer needs to deliver tailored solutions and address specific pain points effectively.
• Collaborate closely with directors and executives to strategize and optimize sales approaches, leveraging their expertise and guidance.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills when interacting with clients, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Employ outstanding time management skills to prioritize and manage sales activities, maximizing efficiency and productivity.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

• 5+ years of proven experience working in sales or business development capacity, preferably in the software and technology industry.
• Post-secondary education in business administration, sales and marketing, or a related field. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
• Knowledge of software products and services, such as software development, mobile development, cloud computing, etc. would be considered an asset.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer service skills, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for clients throughout the sales process. Ability to build rapport with new and existing prospects and customers.
• Ability to analyze data and market trends.
• Ability to solve problems creatively.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and customer-focused.
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills to document and coordinate sales activities efficiently.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize tasks in an efficient manner.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with directors and executives.
• Passionate about upcoming technology, emerging trends, and the IT sector as a whole.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel for industry events and client meetings, as required.
