The Opportunity

Colemans believes customers deserve outstanding quality at the best possible price. As Pricing Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping pricing strategy across the organization while helping drive sales growth, profitability, and customer loyalty.

The Pricing Manager will work closely with Category Managers and collaborate across merchandising, marketing, operations, and finance teams to develop and execute a comprehensive pricing framework.

Your insights and recommendations will directly influence business decisions across one of Atlantic Canada's most respected retail organizations. Key Responsibilities
 
  • Develop, implement, and maintain pricing strategy and governance framework.
  • Partner with Category Managers to optimize product pricing and category performance.
  • Analyze sales data, customer purchasing trends, and market conditions.
  • Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, assortment changes, and positioning.
  • Identify opportunities and risks through customer, supplier, and store feedback.
  • Provide evidence-based pricing recommendations that support business objectives.
  • Establish regular pricing review processes and reporting structures.
  • Measure the impact of pricing decisions on sales, profitability, margins, and market share.
  • Develop pricing dashboards, tools, and analytical reports.
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, merchandising, and operations teams.
  • Support promotional planning and assess promotional effectiveness.
  • Stay current on grocery industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive developments.

We are seeking a commercially minded professional who excels at translating complex data into actionable pricing and category strategies that enhance competitive positioning and financial performance. Backed by relevant education and 5+ years of experience, they will bring strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional relationship-building skills, and a collaborative leadership approach.

Qualifications & Experience
    • 5 to 7+ years of experience in pricing analysis, category management, retail analytics, or related discipline.
    • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Commerce, or a related field.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis capabilities.
    • Experience working within retail, grocery, wholesale, or consumer-focused environments is a strong asset but not a requirement.
    • Knowledge of category management practices and retail pricing methodologies.
