As cyber threats to global supply chains and critical infrastructure continue to evolve, PSA Halifax is seeking a Cyber Security Lead to strengthen the protection of its technology environment. This role will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with global information security standards, and delivering clear, timely security reporting to leadership. As PSA Halifax continues to grow and adopt new technology, the Cyber Security Lead will play a key role in safeguarding the systems, data, and operations that keep the business moving.
Position Scope:
The Cyber Security Lead will be responsible for protecting PSA Halifax's technology infrastructure and ensuring compliance with global information security standards. Working within PSA's Global IT Security Standards and international best practices, this role identifies risks, monitors and implements security controls, and executes cybersecurity initiatives to support operational continuity, system availability, and the protection of critical data.

Position Scope:
The Cyber Security Lead will be responsible for protecting PSA Halifax's technology infrastructure and ensuring compliance with global information security standards. Working within PSA's Global IT Security Standards and international best practices, this role identifies risks, monitors and implements security controls, and executes cybersecurity initiatives to support operational continuity, system availability, and the protection of critical data.
Responsibilities
- Apply procedures and controls to ensure compliance with GITSS, GOTSS, legal requirements, and industry best practices
- Conduct periodic risk assessments, analyses, and self-assessments across IT systems and processes
- Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and potential threats
- Update, monitor, and systematically review cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines
- Verify the effective implementation of security controls and procedures against local and global standards
- Collaborate on the evaluation of tools for monitoring, detection, vulnerability remediation, system updates, and process automation
- Promote and follow up on the company-wide cybersecurity training program
- Review first and second level support knowledge bases and contribute to meeting agreed service levels
- Prepare reports for IT management and the business, ensuring timely delivery and policy deployment
- Provide technical support when required
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security, infrastructure support, or systems administration
- Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002
- Experience in network and/or server administration, IT services, and infrastructure support
- Experience in virtualized environments and implementing international information security standards
- Ability to install and configure cybersecurity and monitoring solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
- Availability to respond to inquiries and emergencies on a 24/7 basis
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
Assets:
- Cybersecurity management certification, preferably CISSP or CISA
- ISO 27001 certification
- Experience in container terminals or similar industrial sectors
