The Role
MUNN Insurance is seeking a Commercial Digital Sales Advisor to join their growing team. Reporting to the Commercial Sales leadership team, the Commercial Digital Sales Advisor is responsible for converting inbound, referral, and digitally generated opportunities into long-term commercial insurance clients while managing and growing an assigned portfolio.
This role combines consultative selling, insurance expertise, and relationship management to help businesses make informed insurance decisions. As the primary advisor throughout the client lifecycle, you will manage opportunities from initial consultation through binding and renewal, while developing long-term client relationships that contribute to portfolio growth and retention.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Digital Sales & New Business Development

Respond to inbound, referral, and digitally generated commercial insurance opportunities.

Conduct discovery conversations to understand client operations, risks, and insurance needs.

Develop insurance strategies and recommend coverage solutions tailored to each client's business.

Prepare and present proposals through telephone, video conferencing, email, and other digital channels.

Manage an active pipeline of opportunities and maintain consistent follow-up activities.

Convert qualified prospects into long-term commercial insurance clients.

Achieve established sales, revenue, and activity objectives.
Client Relationship Management & Retention

Serve as the primary advisor and relationship manager for commercial clients.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses and changing insurance requirements.

Conduct regular account reviews and proactive client outreach activities.

Lead renewal planning discussions and present recommendations to clients.

Identify and address retention risks while strengthening client relationships.

Deliver exceptional service and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
Portfolio Growth & Insurance Advisory

Identify opportunities for cross-selling and expanded insurance solutions.

Monitor changes in client operations and recommend appropriate coverage adjustments.

Build strong working relationships with insurer partners and underwriting teams.

Analyze coverage options and provide clear recommendations to clients.

Prepare complete submissions and negotiate competitive insurance solutions.

Maintain knowledge of market conditions, products, underwriting requirements, and industry trends.
Administration & Collaboration

Utilize broker management systems, CRM platforms, and insurer portals effectively.

Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and activity tracking.

Monitor pipeline performance, renewal activity, retention, and portfolio growth metrics.

Collaborate closely with Commercial Customer Service Representatives and insurer partners.

Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies.

Support a collaborative and client-focused team environment.
Qualifications & Experience:

3+ years of experience in commercial insurance, commercial sales, account management, business development, or a related client-facing role.

Demonstrated success building client relationships and managing a consultative sales process.

Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk exposures.

Insurance industry licensing or willingness to obtain required provincial licensing.

Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Insurance, Finance, or a related field is considered an asset.

Experience working with CRM systems, broker management platforms, and insurer portals.

Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong client service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
