Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Senior Electrical Designer/Technologist will be responsible for preparing electrical designs and construction drawings for a variety of building projects. The role is hands-on and production-focused, with an emphasis on power, lighting, and fire alarm system design using AutoCAD and related design tools.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality designs while supporting projects through design, permitting, and construction.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing electrical construction drawings and design documentation.
- Designing power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
- Producing construction-ready drawing packages and specifications.
- Coordinating designs with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams.
- Supporting project delivery from concept through construction.
- Participating in site visits and field reviews as required.
- Assisting with technical problem-solving and construction administration activities.
- Ensuring designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
Your Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a strong electrical design professional with extensive building-services experience and excellent drafting capabilities.

Your qualifications include:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of electrical building design experience.
- Experience designing power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for buildings.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset.
- Experience producing construction drawings and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
