We have opportunities for talented accountants at the Intermediate Accountant, Senior Staff Accountant or Manager level to join their Assurance team. These positions play key roles in delivering high-quality assurance services to a diverse client base, including corporations, not-for-profits, charities, and government organizations. You will be responsible for managing engagements, supporting client relationships, and contributing to a team-oriented environment that prioritizes quality, professional growth, and meaningful impact. Responsibilities (dependent on level) will include:
- Assurance and Client Service
- Plan, manage, and execute audit and review engagements from start to finish
- Ensure deliverables meet regulatory and professional standards
- Identify and apply industry-specific knowledge to client engagements
- Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries
Team Leadership and Development
- Review work prepared by junior staff for accuracy and completeness
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and on-the-job training
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients
- Build strong relationships through proactive communication and service excellence
- Contribute to delivering meaningful insights that support client growth and success
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A CPA designation recognized by CPA Nova Scotia (for Intermediate Accountant, enrollment in a CPA program will be considered)
- A range of 2-10 year’s experience in public accounting assurance, external audit, or similar roles
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A client-focused mindset with experience working across diverse industries
- A collaborative approach and commitment to producing high-quality work
