Our client is a leading North American supplier and manufacturer with a customer base across North America and Europe with a long and successful history in Atlantic Canada and an unwavering commitment to sustainability and quality. On their behalf, Meridia Recruitment is seeking a Quality Manager to take a leadership role in overseeing quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving a culture of operational excellence across the organization.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, support product excellence, and uphold the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions to its diverse customer base.

This position plays a key role in fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and food safety excellence across the operation.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead and maintain all quality assurance and quality control programs across the operation.
  • Oversee HACCP systems and ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and food safety.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Act as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies, audits, and inspections.
  • Manage supplier quality programs and respond to customer quality inquiries and complaints.
  • Develop and deliver food safety and quality training programs for employees.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and track quality performance metrics.
What You Bring:
  • Post-secondary education in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in food processing or manufacturing environments, ideally in QA/QC roles.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading audits, inspections, and certification processes.
  • Proven ability to implement and improve quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.
  • A proactive, accountable, and results-driven mindset with strong follow-through.
