Meridia Recruitment is pleased to partner with the Teachers’ Pension Plan Corporation (TPPC) in the search for a skilled Project Manager for a 12-15 month term to lead a high-impact transformation as the organization transitions to a new pension administration system.
This role sits at the center of a business-critical initiative, working closely with both the local team and the system implementation partner to ensure a smooth and successful rollout.
As Project Manager, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of the project—from planning and execution through to final implementation—ensuring outcomes align with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. You’ll act as the key connector across cross-functional teams, translating business needs into actionable plans and keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed.
Success in this role requires strong leadership, proactive risk management, and the ability to navigate dependencies across multiple teams and systems. You’ll play a critical part in ensuring the new platform meets organizational goals, supports long-term strategy, and delivers real value to our members.

What You Will Do
Project Planning & Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations for all aspects of the project including training, change management and communications.
- Work directly with the vendor’s project manager and manage project execution to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders - executive leadership team, business unit leaders (pension administration, IT, human resources and communications), external vendors and consultants (including pensioner payroll provider) and pension plan members (active and retirees).
- Facilitate regular status updates, steering committees, and decision-making forums.
- Manage expectations and ensure alignment on project outcomes.
- Build consensus among cross-functional stakeholders and drive project outcomes through influence, collaboration, and strategic stakeholder engagement, without direct authority.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks and issues.
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Escalate critical risks and issues to senior leadership as required.
Financial & Resource Management:
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
- Track and report on project costs and variances.
Governance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to organizational project governance frameworks and policies.
- Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Quality & Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.
- Contribute to the improvement of project management practices and tools.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Project Management certification (PMP) or equivalent is preferred.
- 5–10+ years of progressive project management experience.
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects including projects involving protection of personal data.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

- Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with project management tools
