Full Throttle Power Sports is a state-of-the-art Power Sports Dealership located in Dartmouth Crossing. Privileged to be representing Atlantic Canada with BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products) and a full line up in sales, service, and parts, from Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo personal watercraft, Can-Am ATV and side-by-sides, and Spyder motorcycles. Meridia is happy to partner with Full Throttle in search of a Parts & Service Manager to join their team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The Role

The Parts & Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of both the Parts and Service Departments to ensure maximum profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, coordinating service schedules, and driving department growth in a fast-paced powersports dealership environment. This role will report directly into the general manager. The role will have six direct reports: Service Advisor, Warranty Advisor, Technicians, PDI Technician and Lot Porter, Parts Advisors, Apparel Advisor and Inventory Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Department: 
  • Lead and manage the service department, including technicians and service advisors. 
  • Develop and maintain efficient service workflows and scheduling. 
  • Ensure all service work is completed accurately and in a timely manner. 
  • Monitor technician productivity and efficiency (e.g., flat rate hours, billable time). 
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve any service-related concerns or complaints. 
  • Ensure proper documentation, warranty submissions, and manufacturer compliance. 
  • Oversee safety, cleanliness, and organization of the service area. 
Parts Department: 
  • Oversee the parts inventory system, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory counts. 
  • Manage special orders and backorders to ensure timely fulfillment. 
  • Work closely with the service team to ensure parts availability for repairs. 
  • Monitor parts sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue. 
  • Maintain proper parts pricing and cost control. 
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and professional parts department. 
Management & Leadership: 
  • Recruit, train, and develop parts and service staff. 
  • Set departmental goals and performance targets; track and report KPIs. 
  • Foster a positive team environment that supports growth and accountability. 
  • Collaborate with sales and finance departments to support dealership-wide objectives. 
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and workplace safety regulations. 

Duties:
The following duties for the position listed shall include but not be limited to:
  • Provide and/or arrange training, direction, and scheduling for all department staff. 
  • Abide and enforce all dealership policies pertaining to the department. 
  • Maintain a safe working environment, making sure the staff and customers adhere to all safety rules and regulations as well as maintaining safety protocol on all shop tools and equipment.   
  • Responsible for all service BRP training and product knowledge. 
  • CSI relating to service to be monitored and maintained at a minimum mark of 925. 
  • Perform the necessary opening and closing duties as a KEYMAN for the Dealership 
  • Any other specific duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and the dealership. 

Skills & Qualification:
  • Valid driver’s license, motorcycle endorsement a bonus.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Strong computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Facebook).
  • Excellent leadership and exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Detailed oriented / excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Clean, presentable, and professional appearance.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Team player / Punctual, reliable, professional, and presentable.
  • Ability to lift to 75 lbs.
  • Able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
  • Have a valid forklift operators’ license or training will be provided.
  • 3+ years of experience in parts, service, or fixed operations management (powersports, automotive, or similar industry).
  • Strong technical understanding of powersports products (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, snowmobiles, etc.).
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of dealership management systems (DMS) and manufacturer warranty portals.
  • Proven track record of meeting departmental goals and growing profitability.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
