Yorkville University is seeking applications for the position of Senior Manager, Regulatory Submissions. Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Regulatory Affairs, the Senior Manager, Regulatory Submissions is responsible for leading the preparation and coordination of high‑quality regulatory submissions to ensure institutional compliance, support new academic program development, and uphold the University’s standards of quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end planning, coordination, preparation, and submission of regulatory documentation to federal and provincial bodies.
  • Support institutional compliance with evolving regulatory requirements while upholding the University’s standards of quality, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously refine standardized templates and institutional content for regulatory submissions.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with academic, administrative, and executive stakeholders to gather, validate, and finalize submission content.
  • Manage complex review and approval schedules, ensuring timely sign‑off from senior leadership and on‑time government submissions.
  • Advise teams on regulatory requirements, submission guidelines, and government relations considerations throughout the submission and approval lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic guidance to mitigate regulatory risk, streamline workflows, and reduce the likelihood of delays or compliance issues.
  • Support the development and launch of new academic programs by advising on regulatory requirements and submission guidelines.
  • Maintain robust tracking systems and comprehensive records for all submissions, approvals, and regulatory communications.
  • Champion continuous improvement by integrating feedback from regulatory reviews to enhance processes, documentation quality, and institutional readiness.
Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree with demonstrated advanced writing and editing ability is required. Degrees in the social sciences or humanities are considered strong assets.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in regulatory submissions, grant writing, program management, compliance, policy development, or a related role.
  • Experience in a regulated or non-profit sector (e.g., healthcare, government, non-profit, professional associations) is considered an asset. Direct higher education experience is not required.
  • Evidence of producing professional-quality written work (e.g., policy documents, annual reports, regulatory reports, grant applications, or equivalent) at a high standard.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with strict deadlines and high standards for accuracy.
  • Experience managing review processes with senior executives and/or external oversight bodies is an advantage.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and content creation skills, with proven attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from senior executives with both academic and corporate backgrounds to academic faculty and external agencies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with document, workflow systems, or project management tools is an asset.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to excellence.
  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive under evolving regulatory landscapes with tight timelines.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative and collegial team player who thrives in cross-functional environments while also maintaining independence and accountability.
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, able to maintain accuracy and composure under tight deadlines.

This position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $115,000 annually, with placement within the range based on experience, education, and internal equity.
