Role Overview
The Structural Designer/Engineer will be involved with both structural design and plant operations. Your responsibilities include the design, analysis, and detailing of precast concrete solutions while also contributing technical expertise to production and quality activities within the plant environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role where design work directly connects to manufacturing, fabrication, and field application.

Key Responsibilities:
Structural & Design Engineering
- Complete structural design and analysis of precast concrete components under the guidance of the Division Engineer
- Prepare calculations, models, and technical documentation using tools such as S-Frame, Maple Flow, and Excel
- Review drawings, prepare markups, and support drafting with sketches and technical input
- Maintain organized calculation packages, project files, and engineering documentation
- Provide technical support to the plant team on design and production-related questions
- Support quality inspections to ensure compliance with drawings, standards, and specifications
- Work with production and quality teams on process improvements focused on efficiency, safety, and product consistency
- Assist in the development of standard procedures, checklists, and technical best practices
Qualifications

Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- 2+ years of structural engineering design experience
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and mechanics of materials
- Ability to interpret technical drawings with a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a small technical team
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software
- Reliable transportation to Lantz, NS
- Experience with S-Frame or similar structural analysis software
- Familiarity with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Maple Flow or other engineering calculation tools
- Interest in precast concrete, manufacturing environments, or applied structural design
