The Supply Chain & Procurement Lead is responsible for developing and executing Sea Centric’s procurement and supply chain strategy to support marine, port, and industrial operations.
This role ensures the effective sourcing of goods and services, vendor management, logistics coordination, and cost optimization while maintaining alignment with operational demands and project timelines. The Lead will play a critical role in supporting organizational growth by building scalable procurement processes, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring materials and services are delivered efficiently across vessel and project environments.
This position is architectural in nature and accountable for the design, implementation, and rollout of a scalable procurement system across all industries. The ideal candidate brings experience in marine, industrial, or oil & gas environments, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-accountability setting.

The Supply Chain & Procurement Lead is responsible for developing and executing Sea Centric’s procurement and supply chain strategy to support marine, port, and industrial operations.
This role ensures the effective sourcing of goods and services, vendor management, logistics coordination, and cost optimization while maintaining alignment with operational demands and project timelines. The Lead will play a critical role in supporting organizational growth by building scalable procurement processes, strengthening supplier relationships, and ensuring materials and services are delivered efficiently across vessel and project environments.

What You Will Do
- Lead the procurement of goods and services across marine, vessel, port, and office operations.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with operational needs, project
- timelines, and cost objectives.
- Establish and standardize procurement processes, policies, and controls to support consistency and scalability.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and value.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support ongoing and future operational requirements.
- Oversee the coordination and delivery of materials, equipment, and services to support operations and project execution.
- Ensure effective inventory management, logistics planning, and supply continuity across multiple projects and locations.
- Monitor supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid disruptions.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure timely availability of critical materials and equipment.
- Partner with the Operations Director on fleet refits, shipyard projects, and vessel procurement initiatives, contributing to strategic budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Analyze spend data to identify efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and supplier consolidation strategies.
- Represent the organization at industry trade shows and B2B events to build supplier relationships, identify new vendors, and source solutions across multiple industries and operational needs.
- Support contract negotiations, ensuring favorable commercial terms and risk mitigation.
- Balance cost, quality, and operational requirements in all procurement decisions.
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure procurement is aligned with project planning, RFP requirements, and execution timelines.
- Ensure all required materials, services, and documentation are in place to align with project start.
- Act as a key liaison between suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure continuity.
- Support scaling operations by developing systems that can adapt to increased project volume.
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, or a related
- discipline.
- Professional designations (e.g., SCMP, CPSM) are considered an asset.
- 5–10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics within marine, industrial, or oil & gas environments.
- Proven experience sourcing goods and services in operational or project-based environments.
- Strong understanding of vendor management, contract negotiation, and supply chain processes.
- Experience supporting multi-site or field-based operations (vessels, ports, or industrial environments preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build procurement processes and systems in a growing organization.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost controls.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence operational decision-making.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accountability and autonomy.
