Position Scope:
Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure & Cloud Operations, the Device & Network Architect will provide strategic architectural leadership for ANBL and CNB's device ecosystem and its integration with network and connectivity services. This role defines the standards, patterns, and long-term direction for endpoint technologies, end user computing, and warehouse and retail device solutions, ensuring cohesive, secure, and future-ready architecture across corporate, distribution, and retail environments. The Architect translates business requirements into technical blueprints, evaluates emerging technologies, and acts as a key bridge between IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

The Architect translates business requirements into technical blueprints, evaluates emerging technologies, and acts as a key bridge between IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain architectural standards, diagrams, roadmaps, and configurations for ANBL's device and endpoint platforms
- Design secure, reliable, and scalable LAN, WAN, and WLAN network infrastructure aligned with organizational security and performance requirements
- Establish architectural direction for endpoint platforms, mobility, retail and warehouse devices, and workplace technologies
- Translate ANBL's operational needs into architectural requirements and communicate them effectively to Service NB
- Recommend approaches for device provisioning, account management, and secure configuration across ANBL and CNB environments
- Validate that proposed architectures support performance, security, and resilience across all locations
- Collaborate across architecture domains (Cloud, Solution, Data, Cybersecurity) to ensure cohesive enterprise design
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance reliability, security, and user experience
- Maintain architectural documentation, reference models, and design guidelines
- Provide architectural guidance to technical teams and project stakeholders; present designs to IT leadership
Position Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of enterprise network and device architecture experience
- Strong understanding of enterprise device ecosystems, endpoint platforms, and workplace technology architecture
- Broad knowledge of networking concepts including LAN/WAN/WLAN, segmentation, Zero Trust, and VPN from an architectural perspective
- Proven experience designing solutions for distributed environments such as retail, warehousing, and corporate offices in mid-to-large organizations
- Deep understanding of Identity and Access Management and its role within a broader security strategy
- Ability to create clear architectural solution design documentation and translate business needs into technology direction
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to present technical plans to non-technical stakeholders
Assets:
- Architecture-related certifications (e.g., TOGAF) or networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, ACSA/ACA)
- Experience with SD-WAN and software-defined networking technologies
- Experience designing hybrid or multi-cloud connectivity between on-premises and public cloud environments (Azure)
- Experience working with retail environment technologies and standards, including PCI/DSS
