Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Kingsclear-Municipal Limited Partnership (KMLP), a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, in search of a Project Engineer to join their growing Renewables Division based out of their operations in the Fredericton (Juniper) area of New Brunswick.

Role Description: 

This Project Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, planning, and quality oversight. It involves reviewing technical drawings and survey data, coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position supports change management, prepares regular progress reports, oversees site inspections, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards while working closely with project leadership and field teams.

Your responsibilities will include:  
  • Manage overall project delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, planning, design review, cost estimation, and documentation management; 
  • Interpret and analyze survey data, drawings, blueprints, and topographical information to support accurate planning and field execution; 
  • Prepare clear daily, weekly, and monthly reports to communicate progress, safety performance, and compliance with project agreements; 
  • Oversee Quality Control and HSE activities, conduct site inspections, and ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory standards; 
  • Lead change management efforts by developing change orders, coordinating implementation with teams and clients, and adjusting scope, schedule, and cost as required; 
  • Draft and manage RFIs, technical queries, and communications with the client’s engineering teams; 
  • Coordinate logistics planning and manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and third‑party providers, including monitoring performance and validating billing; 
  • Provide guidance and feedback to project management and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and foremen to ensure successful project execution. 
Your Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with earthworks and brings a strong technical background, supported by a degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Construction Management. Experience in concrete construction, renewable energy projects, and familiarity with Primavera P6 are valuable assets. The role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication abilities, solid organizational and planning skills, and proficiency with computers. 

Your qualifications will include: 
  • Previous experience working on earthworks projects; 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a Construction Management–related discipline is preferred; 
  • Experience in concrete construction is considered an asset; 
  • Experience in renewable energy projects is considered an asset; 
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 is considered an asset; 
  • Strong attention to detail; 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities; 
  • Strong computer skills.
