Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Kingsclear-Municipal Limited Partnership (KMLP), a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, in search of a Project Coordinator to join their growing Renewables Division based out of their operations in the Fredericton (Juniper) area of New Brunswick.

Role Description:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator assists in the planning, executing, and delivery of renewable projects on time, within budget, and in accordance to specifications. In this role, you will help define project requirements and
scope, acquire project resources, and support the efforts of project team members through efficient delivery of project requirements, effective quality control, and clear communication.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare and hand off detailed project schedules for awarded work, while coordinating daily activities both in the office and on-site, including site meetings and general scheduling;
  • Plan and organize all project timelines, milestones, and requirements using appropriate software tools or methods to ensure smooth project execution;
  • Manage and coordinate the full project lifecycle, from initial planning and bidding through operations, all the way to final project completion;
  • Liaise with subcontractors, providing estimates and support for construction planning, scope, and cost evaluation;
  • Track project progress comprehensively, monitor all costs, assist with job costing, and update quantities for progress payments to ensure budgets are maintained;
  • Read, interpret, and analyze blueprints to accurately estimate project costs and support planning decisions;
  • Collaborate and communicate with departmental leaders to stay aligned on construction needs, budgets, and potential bids, ensuring informed decision-making;
  • Actively participate in safety deliverables, promote a positive safety culture on all projects, and support process improvement initiatives across teams;
Your Qualifications:

As the ideal candidate, you are organized, proactive, and ready to keep projects on track from start to finish. You are skilled in scheduling, cost tracking, and blueprint interpretation, with the ability to coordinate teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders seamlessly. Safety-minded and solutions-focused, you thrive in fast-paced construction environments and take pride in driving projects forward efficiently and effectively.

Your qualifications will include:
  • University degree in Civil Engineering or other Construction Management programs is preferred;
  • Experience in Heavy Civil Construction would be considered an asset;
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License;
  • Ability to work as part of a construction team;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Professional attitude, punctual, assertive and personable;
  • High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning;
  • Ability to respond in pressure situations with a calm demeanor and high sense of urgency;
  • Ability to travel throughout the Maritimes to support various projects;
  • Utilizes strong organizational and planning skills;
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Outlook).
