On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting a Commercial Leasing Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals in Saint John, New Brunswick.
As Commercial Leasing Manager, you are a people-person with experience leading a talented team of leasing professionals. Your goal will be to oversee all aspects of the company’s leasing process associated with existing and new partnerships. Your success in this position will be demonstrated in your ability to secure leases, reduce risk, and maintain a strong real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities:
As the ideal candidate, you possess 10+ years of related experience (ideally, 5+ years of real estate and/or legal experience), along with 5 years supervisory experience. A clear understanding of the commercial leasing industry is essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects will be key to success in the role. With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature. An undergraduate bachelor’s degree in business administration is required. A leasing, property or related designation will be considered a strong asset.

Your goal will be to oversee all aspects of the company’s leasing process associated with existing and new partnerships. Your success in this position will be demonstrated in your ability to secure leases, reduce risk, and maintain a strong real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct a team responsible for the negotiation and administration of lease agreements.
- Lead the negotiation of complex lease agreements to align with best industry practices and company strategy.
- Manage exposure and minimize risks in relation to lease expiries and renewals.
- Secure tenants for network vacancies.
- Source and acquire real estate for short and long-term needs of the business.
- Manage the integration of new real estate agreements and amendments into existing systems/processes.
- Manage and account for payable and receivable property recoveries.
- Develop and approve annual lease budgets.
- Foster internal and external relationships for the growth and sustainment of the real estate portfolio.
