Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President – Information Technology, this position will be responsible for establishing and leading the Project Portfolio Management Office at the holding company level. This role involves managing and optimizing the portfolio of internal improvement and transformation projects, ensuring strategic alignment, and enhancing project quality and decision-making processes. The Manager- IT Project Portfolio Management Office will provide leadership across project managers, ensuring effective coordination, resource management, and governance.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President – Information Technology, this position will be responsible for establishing and leading the Project Portfolio Management Office at the holding company level. This role involves managing and optimizing the portfolio of internal improvement and transformation projects, ensuring strategic alignment, and enhancing project quality and decision-making processes. The Manager- IT Project Portfolio Management Office will provide leadership across project managers, ensuring effective coordination, resource management, and governance.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Design and implement the portfolio creation, management, and reporting process
- Governance: Establish governance structures for stakeholder alignment and regular portfolio adjustments
- Leadership: lead all project managers, providing methodologies, templates, training, and senior advice
- Agile Delivery Culture: Fostering an Agile Delivery culture within the organization - design and implement a professional Agile framework, such (SCRUM or SAFe), enhancing the efficiency of business and IT collaboration, driving the success of internal projects, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and adaptable to changing requirements and priorities
- Optimization: Continuously optimize the project and portfolio management framework to ensure consistent application of best practices
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Project/Program Management, including managing teams in systems analysis, business analysis, systems architecture, and development
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field required
- Project Management and/or Project Portfolio Management certification (e.g. PMP or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of project management and Agile Delivery methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Training or documented experience with Agile Delivery frameworks (SCRUM and/or SAFe).
- Exceptional attention to detail, while being able to abstract and to see and explain “the big picture”
- Proficient with the Microsoft suite of products, with high proficiency in Excel and MS Project or another major Project Management software
- Highly adaptable and flexible, thriving in dynamic team environment
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
- Understand and appreciate the need for confidentiality
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels within the organization as evidenced by success in working collaboratively with others to effectively coordinate activities to accomplish goals
- Appetite to shape a new function in a dynamic IT organization and to influence and lead in- and outside of defined solid reporting line relationships
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks
