We are thrilled to be leading the search for Parts for Trucks looking to bring an experienced finance professional to their team in Dartmouth in the role of Director of Finance!


The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring the organization’s fiscal health, and driving strategic financial planning. This role provides leadership in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and investment strategies while managing and developing the finance team.


Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Advise executive leadership on financial performance and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor performance measures that support the company’s business plans.
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Oversee financial operations of branches nationwide.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Oversee the company’s transaction processing system.
  • Oversee audits and tax compliance.
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity to optimize capital usage.
  • Evaluate and manage investment opportunities.
  • Mentor and lead finance and accounting staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Implement operational best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess:
 
  • CPA designation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive financial management experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and ERP systems.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
